Project Description

  • Tracks
Three strands of heavy-duty industry standard four (4) inch pitch track chain per pontoon with cleats of marine grade 6061 T-6 three (3) inch aluminum channel with .437-inch web. The chain roller paths are lined with hardened, abrasive resistant steel matching the hardness of the chain rollers. Two Ultra High Molecular Weight track wear pads per cleat, running on steel channels on the pontoon bottoms. Maximum ground pressure of 1.5 psi or less. Vehicle deck covers tracks and drive motors for safety.
  • Pontoons
Pontoons are constructed of marine grade steel and have five (5) separate flotation compartments with inspection plugs located on the outside of the pontoons and one (1) retractable ladder on each side of machine for access to deck and wear plate runners installed on the pontoon bottoms. The pontoons are painted with a two-part epoxy primer and topcoat.
  • Dimensions
Each pontoon is four (4) feet high X five (5) five wide X twenty-eight (28) feet long. The width measured from the outside of the tracks is fourteen (14) feet. The over all length is thirty-one (31) feet.
  • Deck
The deck is fourteen (14) feet wide X twenty-six (26) feet long all steel welded construction of box tubing and angle iron with hand rails and grip strut safety decking with a payload capacity of 16,000 lbs.
  • Engine
Water cooled, Cat 3056E turbo charged diesel engine with 175 horsepower at 2500 rpm with heavy duty radiator; heavy duty 12V 75 amp alternator and Murphy Safety System with batteries mounted above deck in lock box with lead protectors.
  • Drive System
Pump drive – Funk Manufacturing 59000 triple pad 1:1 ratio rated at 700 HP Pumps – Sauer Danfoss (Sunstrand) 90 series variable displacement piston pump Motors – Cat 8.7/5.4 CID two speed piston motors Gearboxes – Funk Manufacturing F9 two stage heavy duty planetary
  • Operators Cab
Two man enclosed aluminum operator’s cab with electronic gauges and controls.
  • Winch
Hydraulically driven 15,000-pound line pull capacity with 250 feet of 1/2 inch steel cable with safety hook (snap type) and fair leads.
  • Engine, battery, drive and steering systems are enclosed and accessible from the deck. All liquid storage compartments have lockable filler caps.
  • Fuel tank capacity of 100 gallons
  • Speed: Land – 0 to 2 mph
Water – capable of maneuvering through water
  • Grade ability: 100 % Total weight of the unit allowing 16,000 lbs for the payload is 56,000 lbs.
  • Weight distribution is such that the unit floats level with 20% freeboard.
