DID YOU KNOW OUR EQUIPMENT IS ALSO USED FOR MOSQUITO CONTROL?
Mosquitoes are reliant upon water to breed. We’re only warned about the standing water around our homes because we have a degree of control over that situation. As the homeowner, you can monitor the areas that will collect water and dispense of standing water before it became troublesome. However, we as individuals do not have control over mosquitoes laying their eggs in surrounding wetlands, swamps, lagoons, ponds, lakes, and so forth. In order to control the outbreak of diseases and ensure our well-being, as well as comfort, government entities are responsible for exercising some control over the mosquitoes. Generally, that is procured at the parish level.
What type of equipment do you need to go into soft terrain?
When it’s necessary to venture into these swampy, boggy terrains, our self-propelled, amphibious hydraulic undercarriages, specifically engineered to be extraordinarily versatile on land, water, and wetlands, can be fitted with the equipment your work crew needs and take them where they need to be to accomplish their objective. Permanent Water Mosquitoes lay their eggs in clumps, referred to as rafts, of 50 to 300 on the surface, along the fringes of the water. They also lay their eggs in cane and grass in the wetlands. They’re most active when temperatures are 70 degrees and above, allowing the eggs to hatch within a few days and transition into the larvae stage. Whereas Floodwater Mosquitoes lay their eggs in moist soil, at the rate of as many as 1 million per acre, and hatch when floodwaters begin to rise and the soil is saturated. Floodwater Mosquitoes thrive in drainage ditches, flood plains, woodland pools, meadows, pastures, and fields.
